Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are reportedly keen to boost their midfield options with a new player. Italian publication Calciomercato said the Rossoneri have been forced to look further down on their list of midfield targets after missing out on Portugal international Renato Sanches. AC Milan were seen as favourites to sign Sanches at some point, but the player has opted to sign for French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
The target for AC Milan directors Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini is to find the perfect midfielder for manager Stefano Pioli. The seven-time European champions are short in midfield in comparison to last season after Ivorian star Franck Kessie left the club at the end of his contract this summer.Kessiesigned for Spanish team Barcelona on a free transfer at the start of last month.
