Torreira was signed from Sampdoria last season and turned out to be a revelation for the club last season. The 24-year-old is a sturdy midfielder with the ability to break down opposition attacks and create transition plays with his passing abilities.

It is understood that these qualities have endeared him to Milan whose CEO is former Gunners chief Ivan Gazidis. Torreira failed to start the first two matches for the club this season but played in the 2-2 draw for the club before the international break.

Milan have had a mixed season after their opening day defeat before winning by a single goal margin in their last game. The midfield looks devoid of a midfielder who is capable of breaking down attacks and recycling possession.

French ace TiemueyeBakayoko played the role last season to a large degree of success. However his personal troubles with former coach Gennaro Gattuso meant that the club failed to activate the buyout clause after his loan spell expired.

Meanwhile, Milan have also been linked with a move for Emre Can after the player voice his displeasure in being left out of the Champions League group stages by Juventus. Can is said to be pushing for a January exit and Milan are ready to move for the former Liverpool midfielder.

Can is an excellent midfielder who has been shunted out of the first-team reckoning at Juventus following the arrivals of AdrienRabiot and Aaron Ramsey in the summer. Milan has a target of making the top 4 this season and from the early indications it could be a long season for the Rossoneri.

The captain of Milan team, Alessio is one of the best in playing and excellent in defending as well. So the snag may find a partner for him who will be a good defender. With Mattia and Matteo had injuries, Rino is also remaining, with just Zapata and Simic as the possible option. Milan has excellent strikers named G. Higuain and Patrick C.

“AC Milan chooses their outfit from Puma for 2019/20 season. The picture of the kit has been leaked in the internet“ making footy headlines. This is the second season of Milan working with Puma before this “they spent many years“ in connection with Adidas.

The reason for choosing an outfit from Puma is their current design. The kit is evidence to express their desire to channel the heritage of the club. The kit consists of the stripes in both red and white printed on the shirts, the white shorts, and socks with subtle black and red accents.

GATTUSO: I NEVER SPOKE TO ZLATAN

AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso has declared that he is not upset that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be making a return to the San Siro after the Big Swede confirmed that he will be staying with LA Galaxy for the upcoming season.
The manager has claimed that he is not a bit disappointed that the club’s potential deal for the former Manchester United forward fell through.

Zlatan had been tipped to return back to AC Milan this January, a club where he announced himself to the football world at a very tender age, but he has squashed the rumors saying he would rather remain in the Major League Soccer.

GATTUSO: I NEVER SPOKE TO ZLATAN

Zlatan had been tipped to return back to AC Milan this January, a club where he announced himself to the football world at a very tender age, but he has squashed the rumors saying he would rather remain in the Major League Soccer.

But Gattuso has played down the news of his interest in the player, insisting he was not losing sleep over the Swede’s decision and that he never even really communicated with the forward personally.

Speaking in a news conference, the AC Milan manager said, “I never even spoke to Ibra. When there are important people at the club like our directors, I give them their due respect and let them do their jobs (handle the club’s transfers)”.
“I always knew there was a slight chance and I also knew from the first day that it would be a difficult deal to pull off. There is no disappointment at all from the outcome”, Gattuso added.

“AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain’s goals have dried up since scoring a goal on October 28“ as he has failed the find the back of the net in his last six “appearances for the club“.

Ibrahimovic was seen by the club as the solution to the woes in front of the net as the experienced striker has played for various top teams in Europe’s top leagues including Barcelona, Manchester United, Inter Milan and AC Milan but the club will be left disappointed following his latest announcement.

He said that the club is now in a better place following the departure of the Chinese owners and that the club is better managed by the Elliot Management Corporation.

Suso said that the American company has brought in some former AC Milan players such as Maldini and Leonardo who knows the club from within and that this is evident in the way the club is being run.

He said that it was difficult to perform under the Chinese owners as there were so much going on off the pitch and that this was affecting them on the pitch.

“When asked about the club’s current form he said that it will take some time.“ He said that critics are wrong when they target GennaroGattuso as he feels that he is the right man for the job. He said that he understands football well and that you have to see him on “the pitch to understand“ his passion.

He said that the manager has a clear plan on how he wants the club to perform and that it will take some time for the players to adapt to the strategy. Suso said that there are some quality players in the team and that there are no reasons why they cannot win trophies. He believes that the team will improve as the season goes by and that their progress will be evident for all to see.

Gennaro Gattuso Rules Out Another Big Splurge During The Summer

AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso has warned the club’s faithful not to expect another raft of signing during the summer transfer window. The Rossoneri were one of the big spenders in Europe last year as they brought in 11 different recruits, but this has not enhanced their chances of finishing in the top four.

The San Siro outfit started the season in a relatively slow fashion, and despite making progress in the second-half of the campaign, and they appear to have fallen short of their quest for Champions League football. Speaking about the club’s transfer plans for the summer, Gattuso said: “There will be very few signings and I am happy with that because these players are some of the best in the world. Some of them will improve. We will dip into the transfer market to sign a few players to help this team, but don’t expect 20 or 30 new signings. It is my duty is to coach the team.”

Meanwhile, Nikola Kalinic was jeered off the pitch during last week’s draw versus Napoli, but Gattuso admitted that he was not pleased with the reception received, he added: “I look at [Kalinic’s] performance and he made five or six incredible movements – he helped us. But I was angry with the whistles – they seemed to me a bit unfair.”

With just six games remaining, Milan are eight points behind AS Roma and Lazio, who are third and fourth respectively, and their chances of qualifying for the Champions League are dependent on their rivals dropping points whilst improving on their form. After going a three-month unbeaten run in the Serie A, Milan have picked up just three points from their last four matches, and their winless streak has been hugely influential on their league position. Milan take on Torino in midweek before facing bottom side Benevento over the weekend.
