AC MILAN TO RAID TWO CHELSEA STARS

Serie A side AC Milan are set to raid Chelsea of two stars in the winter transfer window, as per reports. The Blues would not be as eager to lose its stars in the face of a possible four-window transfer ban recommended by FIFA.

This has not stopped Milan from attempting to lure former skipper Gary Cahill from Stamford Bridge. The 33-year old has barely gotten game time this season under coach Maurizio Sarri. The experienced player has settled for just cup competitions. With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, the AC Milan deal would be an exciting idea for Cahill.

AC MILAN TO RAID TWO CHELSEA STARS

This has not stopped Milan from attempting to lure former skipper Gary Cahill from Stamford Bridge. The 33-year old has barely gotten game time this season under coach Maurizio Sarri. The experienced player has settled for just cup competitions. With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, the AC Milan deal would be an exciting idea for Cahill.

Milan could wait for the deal to happen and employ Cahill as a free player but they are believed to be open to offering the Blues some money to seal the deal. The Serie A side has seen several players injured at the same time. Cahill is an experienced player expected to hit the group running, and contribute to an ambitious season.

The defence at San Siro is missing Giacomo Bonaventura, Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio, Lucas Biglia and Mattia Caldara all at the same time. The player would have loved to end his illustrious career in England but as things stand he would likely end his seven year stay at Chelsea when the deal goes through in January.

Aside Cahill, “there is former Arsenal playmaker Cesc Fabregas who has also fallen in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge“.He is another star that Milan are hoping to lure from England. He is also out of “contract in the summer“. Milan are hoping he could join as an extra creative force in attack.

Fabregas, 31, still have at least two years at the highest levels which Milan could enjoy if the deal goes through.

With Chelsea yet to sort it its FIFA case, it remains to be seen if they would sanction more assets from leaving in January as Milan would prefer.

Super-agent Mino Raiola has reportedly urged his client Gianluigi Donnarumma to pursue a fresh challenge away from AC Milan at the end of the season. The teenager had come under extreme criticism from the fans after he turned down a contract earlier in the summer, but he eventually committed his future to the Rossoneri until the summer of 2022.

In an interview quoted by ESPN, Raiola appeared to entice the 19-year-old to secure a big-money move with a number of elite offers waiting for him, he said: “Gigio made a choice, of staying at Milan, and I respect it. However, if he were to ask me to leave, I would get straight to work because there are big offers for him. In fact, if it were up to me, Gigio would leave Milan.”
