Radamel Falcao has said that he is honoured to be linked with a club of AC Milan’s calibre, though he is currently only focused on his job with AS Monaco and Colombia. In a recent interview with Premium Sport, the 32-year-old said: “I read and heard of Milan interest, so it is an honour that a club like that is tracking me. I follow Italian football and know that Milan are the second club in the world in terms of Champions League titles, but at the moment I am under contract with Monaco and am focused only on Monaco and Colombia. But it’s obvious that I like Italy and Italian football.”
The Rossoneri are understood to be eyeing a new midfielder, winger and a striker for the summer transfer window and they were surely be buoyed by the comments from Falcao. Nevertheless, the club are currently in UEFA trouble after their breach of the Financial Fair Play regulations and any penalties levied could hamper their chances of spending on fresh recruits without offloading a few.
