Seedorf Unfazed By Roma Defeat

AC Milan manager Clarence Seedorf has stated that he has no problems with the defeat suffered against Roma, but he is now already looking forward to the Milan derby next week. AC Milan’s five match winning run came to an end after they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Roma. Unlike in previous years, this Roma team have been brilliant this campaign. They would have won the league title had it not been for Juventus. Roma have won 13 out of the 14 matches prior to this encounter. Due to this incredible record, they are set to return to Champions League in the coming season.

Seedorf stated that there is no shame in losing to one of the best teams in the league. Now, he is looking forward to getting his team back to winning ways when they take on city rivals Inter Milan at the San Siro next weekend. This match will be very crucial for the club since it could determine their status in the European competition next season. Inter Milan currently occupy the final qualifying spot, but they are not keen on finishing in the Europa League places. Their manager Walter Mazzarri is thought to be against the Europa league, which will be an unnecessary burden without much financial rewards.

"Now we prepare for Inter...we move forward. I think Roma have won their last 15 home matches (actually 13 out of the last 14). I saw Milan play in a dignified way against a side that have been doing well since the start of the season. There’s no shame in losing against a side like this. They believe strongly in their title chances. We’ve got 15 points from six matches. The team are on the right road," said Seedorf.

Despite taking over only a few months ago, Seedorf has already been linked with an exit.
