MANCHESTER UNITED, AC MILAN RIVAL ARSENAL FOR BRIGHTON STAR

Manchester United and AC Milan are set to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma. A recent report from Fichajes has offered an update on the future of Yves Bissouma. The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder could be set for a move away from Amex Stadium this summer, with his current contract expiring at the end of next season. It could thus be the final opportunity for Brighton to cash in on the player.

Bissouma is already high on the list for Arsenal. But in addition to the Gunners, the midfielder has been targeted by Manchester United, while AC Milan are involved in the chase as well. Even Aston Villa had expressed the desire to sign the player, but with the Villans already signing Boubacar Kamara, a deal is unlikely.

Arsenal’s interest in Bissouma goes a long way back. With Thomas Partey struggling with form and fitness since his €50 million switch from Atletico Madrid, his performances have not always been up to the standard. And manager Mikel Arteta is looking to add more competition for him and Granit Xhaka for the season ahead.
The Red Devils have already confirmed the exit of Paul Pogba while Nemanja Matic will also be departing leave Old Trafford as well, potentially creating a massive void in the middle of the park. Yves Bissouma, to that end, could be an excellent option for Manchester United. The Malian international offers vast experience in the Premier League while his aggression and work ethic could make him a vital cog in the club’s second line of press under new manager Erik ten Hag.
AC Milan are involved in the chase as well, although they are unlikely to be capable of funding a move for Bissouma given their current financial situation. With Franck Kessie leaving the club on a free transfer, the Brighton midfielder might have been an ideal replacement for the Ivorian at San Siro.
