Chelsea Eyeing Summer Swoop For AC Milan Midfielder

The transfer window is currently closed for business but that does not stop rumors and transfer-related conversations from making the rounds. Although there can't be any transfers for now until the summer, it is an opportunity for managers to continue the search for their transfer targets whether they want to spend big or not.

One of such managers is Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel. The manager, having replaced the sacked Frank Lampard, joined a club that is already filled with raw talents and footballing stars. However, just like every other manager before him, and the ones that will come after, he is expected to still make his additions.
The German coach has identified AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and is ready to pounce on a deal that would see the powerful midfield powerhouse make the switch to Stanford Bridge in the summer.

The information is courtesy of a report from Milan-based website Il Milanista, whose report states that it would be a dream come true for Tuchel if he finalizes the deal and sign the combative midfielder.
The report adds that the former Borussia Dortmund boss is highly interested in a swap deal that will see defender Fikayo Tomori make a permanent move to the Italian Serie A giants. Tomori left Chelsea and signed for the Milan club on loan in the summer in a bid to get his career back on track by playing more minutes of football. However, with the option to buy included in the loan deal, Chelsea are looking to take advantage of the situation and take Kessie to Stamford Bridge instead of getting cash for Tomori's sale.
It looks highly likely that Milan will reject the offer considering that it will take £28 million to sign Tomori permanently but they value Kessie way above that figure.
