AC MILAN WANT BENZEMA TO LEAD ATTACK

Italy is rife with reports that AC Milan want to snap up Karim Benzema from the Real Madrid setup during the summer transfer window.

Milan are keen on resurrecting their ambitions in Italy and Europe and in their post takeover moves, they want the striker to join them.

TuttoSport claims San Siro plans to lure the French player with an attractive package and a long term deal despite being 29 years old.

Real Madrid are yet to decide on the future of struggling striker Alvaro Morata. The player spent time in Juventus but has not been as utilized since returning to Spain. He scored a hat trick in the game against Leganes on Wednesday, proving what he can do if given the opportunity.

Coach Zinedine Zidane is keen on playing Benzema but there are also question marks concerning his long term future. At the ripe football age of 29, Benzema may look at cashing in and having a decent place to run out his professional career.

Silvio Berlusconi is yet to fix a permanent date for the Rossoneri takeover to be completed so the much expected renaissance can kick in.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 19 goals in 23 games while Morata win ten games and ten subs has scored 11 goals. Benzema is third after 18 games and 5 subs with 9 goals. The era of BBC – Benzema, Bale and Cristiano – seem to be coming to an end. With Ronaldo aging quickly and Bale seeming unstable, Madrid might have to change strategy.

Reports say Real would let Benzema leave for £50million after several successes at the club since 2009. It would be worth a gamble to move to Milan as he still has two to three years in his prime.
