AC Milan recently extended their unbeaten run

AC Milan recently extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to six matches and manager Sinisa Mihajlovic says that the team are looking forward to a peaceful winter break and Christmas.

Milan are searching for the road up and they have done exceedingly well – compared to previous seasons – under the management ofMihajlovic. Milan achieved a 4-2 win overFrosinone to sustain their sixth position in the table. There was the danger of teams like Empoli and Sassuolo overtaking Milan, but this victory helps the team breathe a little. Milan have been looking decent since suffering the narrow loss against Juventus a few weeks ago.

Even though there were the draws against Hellas Verona and Carpi during this period, Milan will remain confident about returning back to European football if they continue this good form. The top three positions of the Italian Serie A have the opportunity to reach the Champions League whereas the next few positions will be awarded Europa League football, which is not bad considering Milan’s position a few years ago. Milan are the second most successful team in the Champions League history after having won the trophy seven times. Only Real Madrid with 10 wins are ahead of them.

The Italian Serie A season resumes for Milan with a game against Bologna in the first week of January."Over 12 competitive matches we had seven wins, four draws and only one defeat.Certainly some games, such as those with Verona and Carpi, we had to win and we deserved [to win]. With four points we'd be there. But there is still time to recover. With the work and the recovery of injured players, we have a lot of room for improvement. We can take away satisfaction, the important thing is trust. The group is compact and we have shown that,” saidMihajlovic.
